After four weeks of rehearsal, and many, many hours of hard work, Toypurina’s story finally came to life on the stage of the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse, just 176 yards from the scene of the rebellion led by our heroine almost 230 years ago.

For performers and audience members alike, this was a truly moving experience. After four sold-out shows, it is time for the creators of this new play to reflect and consider where to take this story next. We have received many positive comments and questions about where friends and relatives who missed the October performances might be able to see the show in the future. At the time of posting this, we don’t yet know, but be sure that we are looking carefully at possible options that could ensure a longer life for this story.

Our deepest gratitude goes to all of those who helped us get this far; for your support – financial, material, spiritual and otherwise – we thank you. Please visit us again soon to learn more about the progress of Toypurina, the Stage Show.
